No. You shouldn't delete any part of your assignment (even if you have been asked to). Instead, Highlight the part you want to edit or delete and press Alt+Shift+5 (in Windows) and Command + Shift + X (in Mac)
Note: Crossing out counts as deleting in re-submission.
